Reuse the Overused

Originally from Akron, Ohio, Emily never thought about graphic design as a future. While she grew up drawing and exploring her creativity through crafts and art projects, she felt the most passionate about design when she took a basic Illustrator class for fun her junior year of high school. Once she realized she could continue this love of creativity in college, for the first time, she felt really excited about going to school. Over the years, her favorite thing about graphic design is that her work is constantly a creative outlet. Rather than studying equations and taking tests, she’s loved creating motion animations, working with photography, and designing graphics. When she’s not improving her skills or learning something new, she’s spending time with her friends (they’re very important to her), trying to beat everyone on the wii, attempting to stay active, or traveling to someplace with warm sunshine. After she graduates, Emily plans to continue her studies within different areas of graphic design learning new programs and software, refining her skills and technique, and improving her overall design abilities. Additionally, she would eventually like to travel again with the possibility of studying abroad.
