Alisa is a designer from Cincinnati, Ohio that never stops imagining. She came to UC in 2018 to study Art History and instead fell in love with Communication Design. This program has taught her how to use visual storytelling to meet consumers' needs and connect with a wide audience. She is passionate about social justice and using design to create a better world. When she isn’t designing she’s reading short stories (usually by Carmen Maria Machado, exploring the city, or listening to Boygenius. After graduation Alisa plans on continuing to hone her design skills through independent projects. She will also attend the State of Black Design Conference to connect with other black designers. She also plans on spending time with her loved ones and traveling with her friends. She will also be searching for a graphic design role that will allow her to create accessible and engaging content that benefits the world around her.
